Rocket Italian - Is Rocket Italian Worth It?

Rocket Italian is the latest in the series of successful language courses by Rocket Languages. As with all their previous courses they promise you can learn to speak Italian naturally and confidently in 3 months. Being an avid learner of the Italian language I decided I couldn't pass up on what was promising to be an exciting and easy way to learn Italian. So what do I think of Rocket Italian?

For starters it is one of the cheapest online Italian language product that I have come across. Often we have the misconception that you get what you pay for, but this is certainly an exception to the rule. Rocket Italian gives you more than what's mentioned on the website.

I've used several Italian learning software in the past, but as I mentioned before I paid nearly 3 times as much. Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur are both great software in their own respects, but I found that for the price you are paying you are not really getting what you pay for. Not only that but they are axed towards users with prior knowledge of the Italian language. Rocket Italian focuses more on building the fundamentals you need to really learn Italian and of course at such a low price it won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Rocket Italian

Learning any language can be a difficult task, learning any language in the quickest time possible, can be an even more difficult task. Rocket Italian can help you with methods that are not new, but proven to work very effectively.

There is no doubt that the best way to learn Italian quickly is full immersion, for example going to live in Italy, but obviously for many of us that's not an option. Another option could be to start to listen and talk Italian with family (if they are Italian) or friends, co-workers, etc. You could even find a study group or a Italian for English language exchange.

These methods will all help you in learning the Italian language quickly; however, I can understand that sometimes, in our busy lifestyles these methods can also prove to be less practical. Rocket Italian aims to provide you with the same environment. To immerse you in the language, by giving you audio and text to listen and learn, repeat and interact, to try to replicate immersion, so that you are part of the conversation.

Rocket Languages Vs Rosetta Stone Review

Ease of use:

Rocket Languages is a systematic program with emphasis on teaching your chosen language fast. Their software interface is based on audio, text, and with languages, they have games as well. Rosetta Stone's interface is more graphical and shows much focus on visuals to get you learning the language.

Languages:

Between Rocket Languages vs Rosetta Stone, when it comes to the number of languages that each program teach, then Rosetta Stone have much great range of languages with around 30. Rocket Languages have only 6 languages, however interestingly this includes American Sign Language, which Rosetta Stone does not include. Rocket Languages have just released Rocket Italian as well to complement their range.

Features:

Both have use audio and visual aids to get you learning the language as quick as possible, both come with a money back guarantee and both are offer a online version and a hard copy version. I should mention that both are also good for beginner levels right through to advance. Note however, that as you progress in the language with Rosetta Stone you will have to pay for the more advanced levels, where as with Rocket Languages all levels are inclusive in the one off fee, which is considerably cheaper than the first level of Rosetta Stone.

Overall:

Well both packages are excellent language learning programs, that teach you how basic words, greetings, phrases, reading, writing and verbal comprehension. Both also have their own benefit, however if you were looking for a more cost effective method, then Rocket Languages, may be the best to choose as it's more interactive and also offers you a free day by day course, before you buy.
